Introductory Scuba dive       $125

Have you ever wondered what it's like to scuba dive? An introductory dive is a great way to find out! You will start with a little bit of theory that will take you through the equipment you will be using along with some important information you need to have a fun, safe dive. You'll spend some time, with your instructor, in Magnetic Island's only purpose built dive pool where you'll learn a few basic dive skills and then you're off for a dive at on of Magnetic Island's beautiful dive sites!

SSI 3 Day open water course      $350

Our 3 day SSI Open Water course includes online theory, 2 or 3 pool sessions and 4 shore ocean dives off beautiful Magnetic Island. All courses have limited numbers to allow maximum attention from your instructor. Courses start every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Day 1 is spent meeting your fellow students, going through the paperwork and the online theory completed prior to the course. We finish off the day in the pool introducing you to your scuba equipment.

Day 2 will see you jump in our purpose built pool, learn all the skills and increase your confidence before going to Alma Bay for your first ocean dive.

Day 3 you will be feeling excited to complete your remaining 3 ocean dives and finish off with the final exam followed by getting certified as an Open Water diver!

Includes all gear hire and materials. First day of the course starting time is flexible (if theory is completed prior), day 2 and 3 start at 8.30am.

Accommodation is available, 3 nights accommodation during your course is $399.

PADI 3 DAY OPEN WATER COURSE       $450

The Open Water course is a beginners diving course beginning every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with 3 full days of skills, theory and 4 great island dives. The course is structured so that you are introduced to diving before entering the ocean.

Day 1 is spent meeting your fellow students, going through the paperwork and theory in our classroom..

Day 2 will see you jump in our purpose built pool, learn all the skills and increase your confidence before going to Alma Bay for your first ocean dive.

Day 3 you will be feeling excited to complete your remaining 3 ocean dives and finish off with the final exam followed by getting certified as an Open Water diver!

Includes all gear hire and materials. Course start time is 8.30am each day.

Accommodation is available, 3 nights accommodation during your course is $499.

Online theory option available by request. 3 day open water course w/online theory $600

PADI 4 DAY PREMIER OPEN WATER COURSE       $650

The PADI 4 day premier open water course is for anyone who wants to get the most out of their diving experience. Including 5 dives, extra pool and theory sessions and a nationally recognised statement of attainment upon completion.

The premier open water course is perfect for anyone who may want to become a dive professional, or become more involved in the local dive community.

The extra pool sessions go through advanced navigation and buoyancy techniques as well as assisting with diver rescues.

The extra theory sessions go through reading weather and choosing ideal dive conditions, researching dive trips, photography skills, advanced dive planning.

The course is run by a highly trained PADI RTO trainer and a statement of attainment "SISOSCB301A SCUBA dive in open water to a maximum depth of 18 meters" is awarded upon successful completion of the course. 

 

PREREQUISITES FOR OPEN WATER COURSES:

- Swim 200m without mask, snorkel or fins

- Float or tread water for 10 minutes without flotation device

 All open-water students are required to complete a medical questionnaire on the first day of the course. If you have had any of the medical conditions mentioned in the medical questionnaire, or are over 45, or have a body mass index over 30 an a waist circumference greater than 102cm for males and 88cm for females, a dive medical that meets Australian Standard Appendices A and B of AS 4005.1-2000 will be required.


Terms and Conditions: All open-water students are required to complete a medical questionnaire. If you cancel at least 7 days in advance of the schedule departure there is no cancellation fee. If you cancel between 3 and 6 days in advance of the scheduled departure there is a 50% cancellation fee. If you cancel within 2 days of the scheduled departure there is a 100% cancellation fee.
