Pleasure Divers delivers nationally recognised and accredited training in partnership with and under the auspices of PADI RTO #6729 and are run by highly professional and skilled trainers. Courses are run on demand with group discounts and training location flexibility.

HLTAID001 PROVIDE CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION        $60

During this course you will go through all aspects of performing CPR including:

  • State/Territory regulations, first aid codes of practice and workplace
    procedures
  • Legal, workplace and community considerations
  • Basic anatomy and physiology relating to:
    o how to recognise a person is not breathing normally
    o chest
    o response/consciousness
    o upper airway and effect of positional change
  • Considerations when providing CPR, including:
    o airway obstruction due to body position
    o appropriate duration and cessation of CPR
    o appropriate use of an AED
    o chain of survival
    o standard precautions

The CPR course is a 5-6 hour course and is run on demand and is available most days.

 

HLTAID003 PROVIDE FIRST AID                $125

During this First Aid course you will go through many aspects of providing First Aid, including:

  • State/Territory regulations, first aid codes of practice and workplace procedures including
  • Legal, workplace and community considerations
  • Principles and procedures for first aid management of the following scenarios:
    o abdominal injuries
    o allergic reaction
    o anaphylaxis
    o basic care of a wound
    o bleeding control
    o burns
    o cardiac conditions, including chest pain
    o choking and airway obstruction
    o crush injuries
    o diabetes
    o dislocations
    o drowning
    o envenomation
    o environmental impact, including hypothermia, hyperthermia, dehydration and heat stroke
    o eye and ear injuries
    o fractures
    o febrile convulsions
    o head, neck and spinal injuries
    o minor skin injuries
    o needle stick injuries
    o poisoning and toxic substances
    o respiratory distress, including asthma
    o seizures, including epilepsy
    o shock
    o soft tissue injuries, including strains and, sprains
    o stroke
    o unconsciousness
  • Basic anatomy and physiology relating to:
    o how to recognise a person is not breathing normally
    o chest
    o response/consciousness
    o upper airway and effect of positional change
    o considerations in provision of first aid for specified conditions

The First Aid course is a full day course and is run on demand and is available most days.

 

22298VIC COURSE IN BASIC OXYGEN ADMINISTRATION        $125

 During this course you will go through:

  • Relevant first aid principles and procedures in line with current ARC basic life support flow chart (DRSABCD)
  • When to apply oxygen therapy and oxygen resuscitation as appropriate to casualty’s condition
  • Oxygen flow rates relevant to delivery device and different sizes of casualties
  • How to administer oxygen appropriately using specified delivery devices
  • Considerations for administering oxygen to adults, children and infants
  • Hazards associated with casualty management and the administration of oxygen
  • Controlling the situation prior to appropriate oxygen administration
  • Requesting appropriate emergency assistance
  • Using resources and equipment appropriately
  •  Conveying casualty’s details accurately to emergency services
  • Reporting first aid given and all information about situation to ensure future operational readiness
  • Completing relevant documentation accurately

The oxygen administration course is a 5-6 hour course and is run on demand and is available most days.
