Unguided DIVING AT MAGNETIC ISLAND

If you’re a certified diver wanting to explore at your own pace, we offer tank and weight rentals, or full sets of scuba gear, so you and your dive buddy can head out for an independent underwater adventure.

Diving without a guide gives you total freedom to plan your own dives, explore the island’s fringing reefs and enjoy the thrill of navigating the underwater world on your own terms. Diving without a guide, helps improve your confidence, while sharpening essential dive skills.

Important INFO FOR UNGUIDED DIVERS

While the freedom of unguided diving is incredible, safety is key. Proper dive planning, site knowledge and an understanding of local conditions are essential for a successful, enjoyable and safe dive.

At Pleasure Divers, we take safety seriously! Before renting gear, we want to make sure you have the skills to dive safely and look after yourself, your buddy and our gear. To rent scuba gear for unguided dives, we’ll need to know that you:

✔ Have dived recently (within the past year)
✔ Have a minimum 10 logged dives
✔ Have previous experience with unguided diving

We’re all about keeping things safe and fun! So before renting gear, please review our Equipment Rental Agreement. Please also familiarise yourself with the SSI Responsible Diver Code. All unguided divers must use a dive flag—bring your own or rent one from us.

At Pleasure Divers we can also do tank refills! If you’ve got your own scuba tank that needs a top-up, simply book your refill with our Reception. Just be sure to bring your scuba license and ensure your tank is in test. It's only $10 per tank refill—easy as that!
