Sorry, but no! We know how exciting it can be for certified divers watching their loved ones experience the underwater world for the first time!
However, our Introductory Dive classes are designed specifically for unqualified beginners.
This class is bound by strict instructor to student ratios. To offer the best experience for all Intro Divers we suggest that certified divers dive with the certified group (see Certified Diving).
Otherwise, Pleasure Divers can arrange a private experience for you and your family to cater for a mix of abilities and qualifications. A private experience, allows certified divers to join Introductory Divers in a private setting without strangers in your group.
Private Experience = $800 and a maximum of 4 family members.

Please bring swimwear, towel, sun protection and wet- weather protection. Warm clothes if necessary.

Food/ drinks are not provided during this experience.

If you wear contacts you are able to wear these with a scuba mask. Just inform your instructor on the day that have contacts in place.
If you use glasses for long distance vision, a prescription mask can help you see underwater into the distance.

The skills required are basic safety skills. SSI standards do not permit us to take you on the dive without seeing you competently perform these skills first.
We will give you the appropriate instruction and an appropriate amount of time to perfect these skills in shallow water.
In the rare case that you are not able to perform these skills, we will be unable to take you on the tour portion of the Introductory Dive and we will assist you to exit the water. You may snorkel instead.

Yes! Swimming is a crucial skill of scuba diving.
You do not need to be a fast swimmer, competitive swimmer or long distance swimmer to be able to participate in the Introductory Dive.
But for the best experience, it is advisable to be comfortable in the water and able to support yourself in deep water.
