Pleasure Divers FULL TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. BOOKINGS & DEPOSITS
1.1 To make a reservation with Pleasure Divers Magnetic Island, divers must be at least 18 years old or accompanied by a legal guardian.
1.2 When making a booking, divers must allow 24hrs between the completion of their last dive and a flight. Ensuring a safe interval before flying is the responsibility of the diver.
1.3 Some dive courses are subject to pre-requisites, such as medical questionnaires or swim tests and watermanship tests. Student divers should be confident they can pass these prior to making a reservation/ booking.
1.4 All dive bookings can be made online through our website, in-person at our dive centre, or via phone/email with our reservations team.
1.5 A non-refundable deposit is required to secure all course bookings. The deposit can be paid online through our secure payment system or in-person at the dive centre.
1.6 The diver is responsible for providing accurate information during the booking process, including medical history and diving certification details.
1.7 The remaining balance must be paid on the day of the scheduled activity, prior to the commencement.
1.8 School groups, uni groups and other large group bookings will be invoiced post activity completion.
2. REFUNDS & RESCHEDULING
2.1 CUSTOMER CANCELLATIONS: In the event of cancellation by the diver, the following refund policy applies:
Cancellation 3 days or more before the scheduled activity: Refund provided, excluding the non-refundable deposit.
Cancellation within 48hours (2 days) days of the scheduled activity: No refund.
Cancellation during the activity: No refund
No show: No refund (A “no show” is a failure to notify Pleasure Divers Magnetic Island of your absence)
2.2 UNIQUE SITUATIONS: In the following situations, there will be no refund and the diver will be unable to participate in the course:
If a dive medical is required and one is not provided to us prior to the course commencing
If a student on a course has arrived without completing e-Learning material
2.3 OPERATOR CANCELLATIONS: In the event of cancellation by Pleasure Divers:
Pleasure Divers Magnetic Island reserves the right to cancel a booking in case of unsafe weather conditions, equipment malfunctions, or other circumstances that may jeopardize the safety of the participants.
Divers will be offered the option to reschedule ($50 Reschedule fee waived) OR receive a full refund (including the non-refundable deposit) if the activity has not yet commenced.
In cases where a commenced activity is stopped by Pleasure Divers Magnetic Island mid-way through, participants are invited to reschedule the remaining portion of the course/ activity. ($50 Reschedule fee will be waived)
Pleasure Divers Magnetic Island, is not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by the client, such as travel or accommodation costs.
2.4 RESCHEDULING:
Rescheduling is subject to availability and new dates must be confirmed by Pleasure Divers Magnetic Island.
Rescheduling a booked activity, incurs a $50 transfer fee per person on the booking. This fee may be waived at the discretion of the dive manager, if the reschedule was a result of a Pleasure Divers cancellation.
2.5 REFUNDS:
All refunds must be paid back to the same credit card that was used to make payment. If the credit card is not available a refund cannot be given and a gift voucher will be issued for the value of the refund amount.
Refunds will be processed within 7 days after the cancelled activity or cancellation request
3. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Terms and Conditions vary depending on the activity and these can be found at the bottom of your booking confirmation email.
3.2 Different activities have different minimum ages. Please read our website information carefully or contact us prior to booking to determine if your child meets the minimum age requirement for the activity
4. GIFT VOUCHERS
4.1 Pleasure Divers gift vouchers may also be called gift cards or gift certificates.
4.2 All Pleasure Divers gift vouchers are non-refundable.
4.3 Pleasure Divers gift vouchers expire 12 months from date or purchase
4.4 Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash.
4.5 All vouchers are kept under the customers name so if the gift card/voucher is lost it is still available until its expiry dat
4.6 The voucher can be transferred to another person or used for any goods and/or services at Pleasure Divers. Although vouchers may say they are for a specific item or service, all Pleasure Divers gift vouchers are just worth that dollar value and can be used for any other goods/service provided by Pleasure Divers. As such, if a product price has changed and if the owner wants to use it for the assigned product, they will have to pay the difference.
4.7 All cancellation policies apply as usual.
5. GOODS REFUND POLICY
5.1 Our refund policy is in line with Australian Consumer law and is summarised as follows:
No refunds because you changed your mind
Repair or Replace any product that is found to have a minor fault
Repair, Replace or Refund on any product that has a major fault
6. OUR RESPONSIBILITIES/GUARANTEES TO YOU
6.1 Deliver all diving activities with due care and skill
6.2 Deliver diving activities that are fit for their specified purpose
6.3 Deliver diving activities within a reasonable time (when no time is set)
7. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
7.1 We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at our discretion without notification.
7.2 These Booking Terms and Conditions will be strictly adhered to, so if you do not understand or have any questions regarding these terms and conditions please contact us immediately.
Pleasure Divers reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, with changes being effective upon posting on our website. Clients are encouraged to review the terms and conditions periodically for updates.
8. AGREEMENT
8.1 By making a booking with Pleasure Divers, the client agrees to adhere to the terms and conditions outlined above.
